Are PCLG the right accountants for me?

Is it difficult to change accountants?
Moving accountant is a straightforward process. We'll require your authorisation for us to approach your current accountant to ask for your books and supporting information. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) state that any necessary information must be released from your previous accountant so that the new accountant is fully informed and knowledge of a clients business.
Why use a Chartered Accountant?
Anyone in the UK can call themselves an accountant without achieving any formal qualifications. We're proud to be members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England Wales (ICAEW). ICAEW Chartered Accountants can be recognised by the ACA or FCA after their name. Chartered Accountants are taught to listen, question, recommend and provide high quality advice which is up to date and gained from rigorous academic training and continuing professional development. The ICAEW regulate Chartered Accountants to ensure they remain bound by a code of ethics and professionalism and responsibility to their clients is paramount.
I'm thinking of starting a business - should I look for an accountant now or during my first year of business?

Help! I know I'm behind with my accounts and Tax Returns - what should I do?
We're not here to judge or make you feel uncomfortable if you've fallen behind, but you could be liabile for penalities and a be at increased risk of a tax investigation being launched. Arrange a free initial consulation with one of our directors and we're more than happy to talk through any outstanding issues with you and work together to resolve them.
How much can I expect to pay for your services?
To put it simply, we only charge you for the work we do. Please call or email us to discuss your requirement with one of our directors to ensure we can provide a tailor made quote for you. We also believe the price we quote you, is the price you'll pay, if any work needs to be completed outside of this arranged fee, we'll call and discuss it with you first before undertaking any further work.
Do I need to be based in York for you to be my accountant?
No, our services are used by clients from across England including (and not limited to) York, Bridlington, Scarborough, Hull, Beverley, Tadcaster, Harrogate, Leeds, Wetherby, Pickering and that's just naming a few of the many places we have clients in Yorkshire.We represent clients throughout England and Wales.
